The Friend Zone

The friend zone is where women categorize a man if he does not show sexual interest early enough. What happens is that even if a girl originally is attracted to you, if she feels that her attraction is not reciprocated, she will move on to men who show more promise. This poses a huge problem for most men since the average guy is afraid to show sexual interest. Once a woman considers you as a friend, it is often extremely difficult to escape. For that reason, it is recommended you avoid becoming a friend from the beginning. Here are some signs that you are alreaday trapped in the friend zone:

Emotional Outlet - If a girl turns to you when she wants to let off some steam or share how sad she is, things are not looking very good. Before long she will be sharing with you how poorly her boyfriend treats her (yet she will stay with him) or how much she loves some other guy, but he never notices is. Not only is this a frustrating position for you to be in, but movies make us believe that the shoulder she cries on always becomes the shoulder she sleeps on.

No Physical Contact - Girls that are interested in you aren't afraid to lightly brush against you or give a playful hit to the shoulder. Sexual interest is pretty easy to identify so if it isn't anywhere in sight, odds are you may just be another good friend of hers.

She Says It - Sounds obvious, but if she tells you how much you mean to her as a friend, take the hint. Girls are well aware of where every guy they know stands and since girls are much better than guys at reading social dynamics, odds are she even knows whether you think of her as a friend or more. She will most often tell you that you are a great friend when you start making advances on her and she is not open to them.

While men sometimes are able to transition from friend to boyfriend, it is often much more difficult. For those reasons it is recommended you watch out for those signs and show sexual interest from the beginning.
