Cologne Recommendations

Of the five senses, smell is the one most connected with memory. Use my cologne recommendations correctly and you will linger in the minds of men and women alike. This can be a double-edged sword since some men overdo it, while others don't do it at all.

My belief is that a cologne is like a secret; something held dearly only by those close to you. People should not be able to know you entered the room by smelling you before they can even see you. A cologne should be smelled by those in your immediate vicinity. Examples include people you are talking to face-to-face, passing nearby, or getting intimate with.

Therefore, proper application is key to using the cologne correctly. While it differs on the strength of the cologne, a safe bet is generally to use two sprays per area and apply it to the chest, neck, and wrists. These spots are particularly important since they have a lot of body heat which magnifies the smell and also since these spots frequently come in contact with the opposite sex.

The following are my cologne recommendations. I have tried hundreds of brands so that you don't have to. The ones listed here are the colognes that got me the most attention and compliments. Furthermore, I have also provided a link to the cheapest and most reliable place to purchase them. If you buy them at a mall or fragrance store, you can expect to pay at least 25% more.

Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier is by far the best-smelling cologne I have ever worn. I always receive a compliment every time I wear it out. Even men that I pass by will ask me what I am wearing and where they can purchase it. This is the type of cologne that is sure to grab some attention and is perfect for romantic and evening settings. It is a VERY masculine sent that gives off the crisp sexy smell of fresh mint, lavendar, orange blossoms, and wood. If I ever go to a party or out on a date, this is my go-to cologne. The scent lingers for a good amount of time and even the next day I hesitate to wash my clothes from the night before because they still smell so good!

Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani is my next favorite cologne. Much different than Le Male, Acqua Di Gio is a lighter citrusy smell. Perfect for work or casual summer days, this fragrance smells very refreshing. Latin for Water of the Earth, this smell reflects the light fresh smell you would expect. I highly recommend this to complement Le Male since this is suitable for lighter, less romantic occassions.

My cologne recommendations won't help if you don't have good hygiene.
