Dating Advice: How to Behave on Dates

A lot of guys simply don't know how to behave on dates. It only takes a quick search of the internet to find horror story after horror story of men messing up even the most basic rules of dating etiquette. Like all rules, there are sometimes exceptions, but these should serve as guidelines for your behavior.

Rule 1 - Be decisive. You're the man after all. Take her input into account, but make sure you fill the dominant role she is looking for.

Rule 2 - Pay for the first date. Sorry guys, but your first date shouldn't be overly expensive anyways. By paying you won't come off as cheap or poor and won't be gossiped about to her friends. Trust me on this one.

Rule 3 - Follow the rules to create attraction and don't come off as needy. This includes no flowers, no love letters, and similar over-the-top actions for a first date. Keep in mind this is a first date and treat it appropriately.

Rule 4 - Enjoy yourselves. This is a date, not an interview. Make sure conversation is light and engaging. Humor is always a plus. There should be no discussion of past relationships, sad topics, or anything else that may be associated with negative feelings.
